Government will give assistance of Rs 6,000 to 16 thousand 667 farmers of Gujarat
Important news for the farmers of Gujarat. The state government will pay Rs 6,000 to the farmers on mobile purchase. Mobile assistance will be given to 16 thousand 667 farmers of the state. Out of the total applications and 32 thousand 775 applications were approved.
State government will give Rs 6,000 for mobile purchase
The Agriculture Department of the State Government had launched the i-Kisan Mobile Sahayata Yojana to provide mobile assistance to the farmers. A total of 33 thousand 79 applications were made to this avail this assistance. Out of which the Agriculture Department has approved 32 thousand 775 applications. However, the state government has allocated only Rs 10 crore in the budget to provide mobile assistance to the farmers. So 16 thousand 667 farmers will be given mobile assistance. Under this assistance, the Agriculture Department will pay Rs 6,000 to these farmers to buy mobiles.
Agriculture Department has increased the subsidy on buying smart phones from 10 percent to 40 percent.
It is noteworthy that the Agriculture Department of the state has increased the subsidy on purchase of smart phones from 10 percent to 40 percent. The government will help farmers to buy phones up to Rs 15,000. On mobile purchase, farmers will be provided assistance up to 40 percent of the cost and up to a maximum of Rs 6,000. Let us tell you, earlier 10 percent subsidy was given on the purchase of mobiles worth Rs 15,000.
The Agriculture Department had then sought the approval of the Finance Department to increase the assistance. Later the state government was allowed to provide further assistance. Therefore, during that time the state government issued a written circular and announced additional assistance. For example, if a farmer takes Rs 15,000, the government will give Rs 6,000 to the farmer. While the remaining 9 thousand farmers themselves will have to suffer.
